Inspiration

We are one of the more than 300 United Methodist congregations belonging to the Reconciling Ministries Network. As part of the reconciling movement, we believe Christ’s love is meant for all God’s children. We thus welcome our brothers and sisters of all sexual orientations and gender identites.

Our parishioners include heterosexual, bisexual, homosexual, transgender and same-sax couples and families. Our faces are shades of black, brown and white. Our ages range from the very young to the very old. Some of us are people of means; others not so much. Our cultural backgrounds are diverse. But whatever our differences, we are united in believing that our hearts and actions should be guided by Jesus’ fundamental dictum to “love thy neighbor.
